Product Description

X-Shield FS490 PW is a fast setting, potable water grade, sprayable, elastomeric, waterproof coating, manufactured using the latest hybrid polyurea technology.

Composition

X-Shield FS490 PW is a 100% solids (zero VOC), two component hybrid polyurea.

Theoretical Coverage

75 ft²/ gal (2m2 /L) at 20 mils (0.5mm) thickness.
Actual coverage will depend on wastage and surface profile.

Return to Service

When used for potable water applications, X-Shield FS490 PW must be allowed to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before immersion.

100 gal (379L) sets.

Shelf Life

24 months from date of manufacture when stored in original, factory sealed containers between 60 and 90ºF (15 and 32ºC) under shade in a dry environment.

Installation Guidelines

X-Shield FS490 PW can only applied by an X-Calibur Registered Contractor using trained personnel and the correct equipment. X-Calibur does not allow any contractor on to the register unless they satisfy strict selection criteria. For each application X-Calibur will provide a detailed method statement that the registered Contractor will work to.

Cleaning

Clean uncured material from equipment using X-Shield Solvent. Cured material can only be removed by mechanical means.

Limitations

Will fade in color in when exposed to direct sunlight. Do not apply in rain or wet conditions at temperatures below 35ºF (2ºC) and above 110ºF (43ºC) or within 5ºF (3ºC) of the dew point.
Do not store below 60ºF (15ºC) or above 90ºF (32ºC) Apply only on to slabs that have waterproofing system installed in order to prevent blistering due to vapor drive or osmosis.
